Morais: My Rio de Janeiro

Whenever I can, I return home to Maceió so that my wife and I can see our families. But I've been living in Rio de Janeiro for almost 11 years now and I feel really at home here.
On my days off I like to spend my time outside, enjoying the sunshine. And when my brother is in town we always head for the beach at Prainha together and eat fresh seafood.
I can’t say that I’m a big one for nights out. I’ve always enjoyed relaxing at home, especially in the evenings.
When I do go out, though, I usually head to the Outback - an Australian restaurant - and to catch a film at the New York City Center shopping mall.
On Fridays, if I am not stuck in a hotel with the team, then I have my own routine. There’s a restaurant I like to go to called Surf Adventures at the Downtown Mall, where they play great music, crazy ‘surf sounds’. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who likes that kind of scene.
